What participants of David K. Weinstock workshops say about it.

“David – I think you bring great expertise, experience, and energy to the group. I love how you mix-up stories, explanations, practical physical practice, demonstrations, and group work. I think that your passion for this work is infectious and creates great energy. I also love the sense of safety and openness that you created with the group.”
Angela Walkley

Life Coach and NVC certified trainer

“I was breath-taken by some of the examples he brought, and filled with hope connecting to the possibilities of teaching NVC through these examples. I was also very impressed with David’s presence and ease as a facilitator. It seems that more and more NVC practitioners are including the body in their work; David has his own unique way of doing that and I just hope that as many people as possible could access his work.”
François Beausoleil

CNVC Certified Trainer

“David is one of those rare teachers who tune in completely to his audience. You feel heard, seen, and empowered through his work and that is a great gift.  His skill as an Aikido master blends forcefully with his creative program of Somatic Consensus.  You leave with a deep awareness of your own embodied habits, and exciting new skills to help you return to center, stay neutral in crisis, and lead with your heart.  I can’t recommend him and his workshops highly enough.”

David Weinstock, (USA) trainer

Certified trainer with the Centre for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC)

David Weinstock is a certified International Nonviolent Communication Trainer, originator of Somatic Consensus, a Somatic Coach, an Aikido instructor, and a master goldsmith. My recent book, “Becoming What You Need” and the work that I’ve developed called Somatic Consensus offers essential basics to orient one’s personal practice towards embodiment and lifelong, artful paths. He leads community workshops in schools, prisons, businesses, intentional communities & organizations, locally and around the world to a diverse audience of people seeking to connect with the wisdom of the body, deepen their relationships, and find their voices in this rapidly changing world. Woven into my programs are the time-honored lessons of mastery and conflict resolution distilled from the peaceful art of Aikido.

David offers individual coaching, workshops, and classes to help synchronize language, emotions, and actions to support a meaningful life that is deeply felt and that sheds light on the less-emphasized nonverbal realm in which the majority of communication occurs. He loves to help his clients to develop their abilities to self-direct, self-generate, and navigate through the complexities of life with greater clarity and integrity. Together with his wife Judith, along with 8 other families, David co-founded an intentional community where they have raised their family since 1990. They have devoted their adult lives to generating Community and committing ourselves to an integrated and intentional way of living.

dr. Dmitriy Kopina, Ph.D., (SLO), organizer

Certified trainer with the Centre for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC)

Dmitriy was eager to grasp different knowledge and restless explorer his entire life. Working as leader and expert, reading full libraries of books and attending so many classes, trainings and workshops, he was a walking encyclopedia of various technical and formal knowledge. He was always keen on sharing his knowledge and fully dedicated to learn and share more, and more, and more. Until one day it was really too much and it all stopped, burned out, ending in hospital.

Several years later, after changing his life style up-side down, learning yoga, martial arts, connecting with nature and finding his meaning, he met two of his today’s “best friends”: NVC – Nonviolent Communication and CI – Contact Improvisation. They met on a similar, multi day retreat and changed his life completely, beyond words to describe meeting Life on another level. After attending more than hundred days of trainings, facilitating/leading hundreds of his own workshops, individual coaching and therapy sessions, he supported changes and transitions in life of thousands of people. Until this day, this several days retreats are still his favorite events.

His life mission and purpose, working as trainer, expert, adviser, manager, father and a teacher involve activities that are supporting individuals finding their authenticity, fullness of life and awareness; connecting people together, building “power with” communities based on equality of all needs and using forms of communication and full embodiment to support connecting individuals and groups into their essence, consciousness and spirituality.

“What we carry emotionally and physically is never far from the foreground of all that we do, perceive, and express, both verbally and nonverbally. To affect real change, we must do more than talk a good game. It requires us to come back, time and time again, to rediscover what we love about the paths we are choosing. Through deliberate, committed, intentional practice over time, we come face to face with the history we’ve embodied, our deeper self, our greatest gifts, and the motivation to stay the course of becoming the person we choose to be. Somatic Consensus practices for embodying Nonviolent Communication are often reconnecting, surprisingly direct, sometimes startling, and always informative.”
